The history of Dominique Renaud is rooted in a passion for watchmaking that has been passed on from generation to generation. The first independent engine manufacturer in the history of watchmaking, he co-created Renaud & Papi in 1986. Working with the greatest watch houses, he was the architect of numerous major creations. An inexhaustible inventor of calibers and complications for over 40 years, he has created 25 movements to date.
At only 31 years old, Julien Tixier is already entering the mysteries of fine watchmaking by making titanic pieces, alongside Sébastien Rousseau in particular. The art of design, the forging of materials and precision machining reflect his obstinacy for artisanal perfection. He met Dominique Renaud in 2016. Enthralled by his extraordinary DR01, Julien sees a vision of watchmaking without limits.
